Chapel Area

On Thursday 6th December 2012 children, staff, parents and governors prepared to welcome His Lordship Bishop Pargeter as a visitor to our academy.
Bishop Pargeter had been invited to consecrate our academy chapel and we were delighted that His Lordship was able to accept our invitation.
On this afternoon children, staff, parents and governors also welcomed the Mayor of Wolverhampton who was able to join us on this most special occasion.
The children, staff and visitors gathered in the academy hall as the Bishop arrived to commence the service. The Mayor, representatives from the academy council, the parish and the local community followed the Bishop into the Chapel where the service of Consecration began.
The children, staff and parents who had remained in the academy hall were able to watch the Bishop as he consecrated the chapel, as a special video link had been created between the chapel and the academy hall. No one wanted to miss a moment of this special event in our academy's history!

Everyone agreed that this had been a most special day in the life of our academy.
